Hello and welcome to my blog!
I'm Emma Lamb, an English girl living in the beautiful city of Edinburgh, Scotland. As well as a blogger I am a textile designer, crocheter and online shop owner who also likes to pretend that she is a photographer and stylist, at least I do within the safety of this blog and my own shop.
My most favourite things in life are my Man, my English Cocker spaniel called Spanner, my parents, dark chocolate, long walks, stony beaches, fresh mint tea, yarn, blue skies, red wine, my studio, great films, pouring over the shelves of vintage shops and noticing the wee details in the world around me. All of these are my inspiration.

This blog is a place for me to share my creations and inspirations alongside all the wonderful finds and talented creators I discover within our creative community.
Regular themes include:
+ making everyday beautiful - weekly favourites from the Flickr group (replaced colour your monday happy in 2011);
+ shop talk - regular updates about my crocheted goodies, interviews, fairs, press features and any other such exciting things I'm getting up to;
+ studio details - an occasional wee peek into my studio and how it inspires me;
+ a picture paints a thousand words - because I like taking pictures;
+ colour stories - a series of guest posts where I invite some great people to talk about what colour means to them;
+ today i'm loving - colour inspiration from some of my favourite design brands;
+ good reads - books and magazines I love;
+ etsy favourites - gorgeous finds from the aisles of Etsy
+ art, design + illustration - highlighting some of my favourite artists, designers and illustrators;
+ designer makers - some of the most incredibly talented hands creating all sorts of beauty;
+ colour palette - exploring my own and found colour inspiration.
